A group of moms pulled off an unforgettable prank at their kids' 8th-grade graduation, and the internet is loving it. TikTok user Jolee Windnagle (@jonichole84) shared a video capturing the moment when 40 dads arrived at the event—all wearing the exact same purple shirt. The hilarious scene left onlookers confused before the realization set in: the dads had been tricked by their wives.

The video, part of the viral "same shirt prank" trend, initially had viewers wondering who orchestrated the joke. Was it the kids or the dads? But after some discussion online, people came to a surprising conclusion—it was the moms who masterminded the whole thing.

"They were all surprised, shocked, maybe a few mad—I don’t know."

How the moms made it happen

In the TikTok video, Windnagle’s husband, Wayne, is the first to enter the venue, donning the now-famous purple shirt. As the camera pans across the room, more and more dads appear, all sporting the same look. Some men immediately realize what’s happened, while others take a moment to process before laughing it off and posing for a group picture.

Windnagle later shared how the prank came together:

“A week before the graduation, I had been seeing a lot of the same prank shirts, so thought that I would attempt it,” she explained.

She reached out to other 8th-grade moms via Facebook, describing the prank and inviting them to join in. The idea quickly spread, with moms adding more parents to the group.

"I added a link to the shirt from Amazon, so it was easy, and we ended up with between 40 and 50 dads."

The unsuspecting dads followed their wives' suggestion without question—until they walked into graduation and saw their identical outfits.

Air travel is stressful enough without entitled passengers making it worse. Whether it's armrest hoggers or seat recliners, there's always someone who makes the journey unpleasant. But one airline passenger took things to another level—flat-out refusing to move from a seat she didn't pay for.

Reddit user u/compile_commit shared the wild story, which involved his cousin flying from Ahmedabad to Kolkata on Indigo Airlines. He had specifically booked an exit row aisle seat and even paid extra for it. However, when he boarded, he found a woman already sitting there, completely unwilling to move.

Family’s easygoing note comforts neighbors about dog on roof

When wandering through a calm residential area, anyone who sees a pooch casually chilling on a rooftop would probably do a good old-fashioned double take. Worried passersby might even knock on the door, warning, “Hey, I’m not sure if you noticed, but your dog is on the roof.”

Turns out, the homeowners are completely aware of their canine’s preferred vantage point. Their Golden Retriever, Huckleberry, apparently loves hanging out up high, no big deal.

With the way some things are going these days, it's nice to be reminded that we aren't born intolerant. The innocence with which children view the world gives hope that one day we can hold onto the idea that skin color is not a defining characteristic.

While tolerance may be at its peak for humans as a species, the constant barrage of bad news and hate speech that fill our lives lately makes it feel like that isn't the case. Seriously, have you been on Twitter lately? It's a hellscape. During our most impressionable years, we're exposed to the bias and prejudices of those around us and begin to shape our own based on them. Hate is learned, and it usually takes a kid to remind us of that.
